Minnesota Dentist Walter Palmer quickly became one of the most hated men in America, and maybe even the world, on Tuesday when it was revealed he illegally poached a beloved lion named Cecil. Thirteen year old Cecil was a resident of Zimbabwes Hwange National Park. Palmer and a local guide lured Cecil out of the national park with a dead animal so Palmer could legally shoot him with a bow and arrow. What Palmer and the guide didnt know was that Cecil was wearing a tracking device and was part of a long term study by Oxford University.
Jimmy Kimmel caught wind of the story and doesnt hold back in his monologue where he takes aim at Palmer for needing to find another way to deal with his sexual frustration besides killing lions. Kimmel also points out that Palmer might be the most hated man in America who never advertised Jello-O Pudding.
Authorities in Zimbabwe have captured two men in connection with the hunt. The two are due in court and will face charges. Additionally, local officials said they would be interested in tracking down Palmer as well.
